Switching? Here is how to transfer your Gmail Contacts to Outlook.com

Nigh a year ago, I decided to movement abroad from using Gmail as my chief email address, in favor of Outlook.com. I initially considered information technology way back at the cease of 2022 when Google decided it was going to drop support for Exchange ActiveSync (EAS), but I had been using Gmail for over a decade and was, frankly, simply also lazy. Finally, subsequently growing more than and more concerned virtually the privacy of my email data, I fleck the bullet and made the switch.
Though I had been using Gmail for so long, the transition was generally painless. One of the most important things that I needed to transfer over, was my list of Contacts. Thankfully, that too, was very straightforward.

Merely for those of you who are but making this transition and may demand a helping mitt, here is a step-by-footstep on how to transfer your Google Contacts to Outlook.
- Offset, log into your Google contacts page. Similarly, you tin log into Gmail, then click Gmail in the upper-left corner in a higher place the Etch button and select Contacts.
- Once yous are in Contacts, click on the More push under the search field, so select Export
- Choose All Contacts, unless you lot only desire to export a specific grouping.
- Choose Google CSV format, then click Export and save the file to your Desktop or folder of your choosing. It may seem counter-intuitive non to utilise the Outlook CSV format, just Microsoft's own instructions say to utilise the Google CSV.

- Browse to the CSV file that you exported from Google, And so upload it.
- Outlook will then compile the list of Contacts and ask you to confirm that it is correct.
- If everything looks proficient, click the Import button and you lot should now encounter your Google Contacts in Outlook.com
