Introduction: Recital Wrapped Letter K

This letter K was for my niece Koralynn. I wanted something she could bear and enjoy for years to come but non deal up too much space. She buns hang it along her wall or place IT on her dresser or on a shelf.

Step 1: Supplies

Wooden missive

Scissor grip

Craft liquidness gum

Yarn

Cloth craft flowers and butterflies

Scrapbooking brads

Feathers ( I chose to non use the feathers at the final stage but that's up to you)

I bought the awkward letter at Walmart for under $2.00 and I had the flowers and butterflies just you can get those at any crafting store atomic number 3 well as the crafting liquid glue and scissors. The recital was unexhausted narration from unusual projects and the seagull feather I ground on the beach happening the daytime my niece was given birth.

Footfall 2: Ends of the Letter

To bulge out: Before placing the yarn at apiece step, I used a small amount the crafting liquid glue along the middle of the wood making predestinate to go in a crooked line to help the yarn adhere to the wood.

*I made the mistake of wrapping the larger parts of the letter first. I launch later on doing that, I should have done the ends of the letter first. Formerly I figured that unsuccessful, I stopped and did the ends.*

To make sure that all the sides get covered and no woodwind is showing, I used the lighter color narration for the first time to twine the ends of the letter. I presuppose I could have misused the darker yarn for this step but I wasn't careful how much I had.

Step 3: Wrapping the "legs"

The middle part of the K was difficult and I forgot to get pictures of it as I was wrapping due to the concentration I needed to get the wrapping to look correct.

Using a new piece of thread, I wrapped the very middle, smaller portion of the K archetypal then enwrapped all the way across swirling up and all the way to the end of the "leg".

I then started other new musical composition of yarn and continuing thrown the bottom "wooden leg". Again, I used the paste to keep apart things where they needed to be.

I was trying to induce the yarn to be horizontal on the whole letter of the alphabet and I found this method acting seemed to expression the unexceeded. Although the upper suited "leg" narration is a little sloped, I think it looks great for a first try!

Step 4: Final Wrapping of the Ends

Using the darker Sir Thomas More fluffy narration, I mantled the ends. You can see I covered a few times down the "peg" to help aid in covering all visible woody spots. Yes, I used glue to again ensure everything would stay in situ.

Abuse 5: Final Additions

Finally, what I think was the fun set out, adding the embellishments!

The flowers have little pin holes in the middle of them so I used the brads to keep them in place. Perceptive the middle of the peak with the brad I and then pushed the tips of the brad into the thread to hold back place.

The butterflies I glued into range.

All cooked!
