How to Show the Battery Percentage on Your iPhone

How to Show the Battery Percentage on Your iPhone

The iPhone SE (2020) is the only device in Apple's current lineup to feature a Touch ID-enabled Home button and no notch. But there are also quite a few older iPhones with Touch ID that still receive regular iOS updates from Apple. Even if Apple no longer supports your iPhone, you can still show the battery percentage on the status bar with the steps below:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone and navigate to the Battery menu.
Enable the Battery Percentage toggle.
The remaining battery percentage will now be shown on the status bar of your iPhone right beside the battery icon.

This is not the only way to see the battery percentage of your iPhone, though. You can also add a battery widget to your Home Screen to quickly check the battery percentage of your iPhone, and any other device connected to it.

Add the battery widget on your iPhone's Home Screen with these steps:

Long press on an empty area of your iPhone's Home Screen.
Tap the plus (+) icon in the upper-left corner.
From the widget panel that opens, find and tap on the Battery widget.
The widget is available in three different sizes: small, medium, and large. Select one depending on your preference and tap the Add widget option.

This will show your iPhone's battery percentage in a widget on your Home Screen.

Don't Let the Battery Percentage Affect Your Phone Usage

Showing the battery percentage on the status bar or Home Screen of your iPhone can be helpful if you have an old device with reduced battery capacity. But if that isn't the case, I'd suggest turning off the battery percentage, as it would otherwise unnecessarily stress you out about how long your iPhone will last.
